And make sure you clean the parts of mold release residue before painting. I soak them in an auto product called "Westley's Bleche - Wite", then lightly scrub with a soft toothbrush and dish soap.

You can also buy an accelerator for Super Glue which makes even a slow bonding CA instant. Caution! Use a dust mask when cutting or sanding resin as it can be quite hazardous.

A razor saw can be found at any well-stocked hobby shop, or from on-line suppliers. Yes, the Super Glue is almost an instant bond.

Thanks for the good tips. Where do I get a razor saw? Does the super glue set up instantly when the pieces touch?

The key to resin kits is lots of dryfitting before assembly. You will first have to cut the pieces off of resin pour stubs. This is best done with a razor saw. Then sand the area you cut from so it has a smooth surface where it was cut. Dryfit the parts to see is any further cutting or sanding is needed to get them to fit together. For glue, you can use either superglue or epoxy, depending how quickly you want it to set up.

I have never actually built a resin vehicle, but I have worked with resin (both figures and conversions). I used super glue and it was fine for me.

Building Resin Models

New guy here. I recently ordered some models from the Ukraine. Most are resin kits. I have never built a resin model; I don't even know what kind of glue or cement to use. I'd appreciate any tips I can get before I start building (destroying) these expensive kits.
