Im building the Tiger in 1/48 scale by revell and I would like do it in Aussie colors (cause it looks cool) and I want to replace the lame ordinance that comes with it, any Ideas? Fit wasnt to bad but the details are a little soft and I am trying to limit the amount of scratchbuilding on it.

Hasagawa, I believe, sells an ordanance set. Or you could rob the spare parts box.

CC,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.  I'm working on an Aussie Tiger right now.  I got an update set from Defence Models in Australia ($40US) and I'll tell you, there's a LOT of surgery involved in making an externally accurate Tiger.  I'm not even gonna comment on the interior!  Lots of cutting and sanding in order to make everything fit, but overall it isn't bad.  The set doesn't have any ordnance other than the nose cannon, but you can use Hellfire racks from another kit if you've got some spares.  The Tiger does carry US M261 19-shot rocket pods, but I'm not sure if they're rated only for the inboard pylons.  Outboard all I've seen is an odd 7-shot rocket pod that has faceted sides.  Very different from the M260 7-shot pod carried by OH-58s and AH-6Ms.

This is it so far.

Hope that helps!

Jon

Sorry about answering your answer so late. Do you have there web site as I can not find it? If I had realized how much work this was going to be I would have done it differently, but thats what modeling is all about. I actually have most of the kit's body together although I redid the exhausts with plastruct tubing.  I was really hoping to keeping this out of the box when I started it but there is just so much detail missing. Is there anywhere that I can get pics of the weapons or close to scale drawings?
