Alby's 1/48th Israeli AH-64A Apache

Hi Gang,

Seeing as it was referenced below in another thread, I thought I would share my latest build with you (plus it has been a while since I dropped in! Smile [:)] ). It is a 1/48th Hasegawa AH-64A Apache converted into an IDF/AF Peten. Items used for this build include an Aires cockpit, Isracast Peten conversion set, Isradecal markings, and some scratchbuilt items (like the towel rack antenna, FM tail whip antenna, stub wing RWR antenna/nav light housings). The finish consists of mixed Humbrol and Model Master enamels, with an Acryl flat coat. The wash is a Payne's gray oil paint thinner wash. All comments and critiques are welcomed of course.

Cheers and thanks for looking!

Looks great.  Good to see one in other than Helo drab Green.

Agree with HeavyArty. It's a really nice build and the scheme is different than the usual. Thumbs Up [tup]

Don

Hi Don,

Thanks my friend! I've had to work most of the meeting days this summer,  plus I was in Kalamazoo this last weekend so that is why I missed September's meeting. I will be there for October's meeting though. Look forward to seeing you guys as it has been a while.

Cheers,

Alby

Beautiful work, Alby!! Big Smile [:D]     I agree with the others; it's refreshing to see an Apache in something other than helo drab!

Thanks, and nice seeing you again!Smile [:)]
