Very interesting info on #986, thanks!      I'd heard it was in line to be restored for a display at Ft. Benning.... guess that deal feel through?     Doug Sprouse was contracted a while back to do a cosmetic restoration on the other surviving prototype, # 59-04984, at Ft. Eustis, but don't know if he's started it.    

     Maybe those fellows at Air-Mech-Strike Study Group will at least insure the airframe will remain intact... however, that may not be very long if they keep parking that Jeep inside, on that 43 year old rotting floor! yikes!!
