MH-53J Pave Lego

Fantastic. Lego should market that. My 2 lads are into Lego big time at the moment, mainly Star Wars stuff, but I'm sure they'd love that. I better not let them see this or it will be "Daddy, can you build us that helicopter......"

A gb would be a great idea. currently though im building my collection because i plan to build a lego scale Hockey Arena. It will include all the seats players nets ice rink concessions and facilities. I just finished building the zamboni for it

So how big would a scale Hockey arena be and where would you put it? Sounds good though. I presume you must be a sabres fan? When I lived in Durham, (UK) we had a great team called the Wasps. I used to go every week, but unfortunately they were bought by a big businessman in Newcastle and they moved there. The rink is a bowling alley now. The nearest team to me now is in manchester about 40 miles away so I've not been to a game in ages. Maybe it about time i went.

Actually im a Sabres fan and a Sharks fan...im guessing that id have to get something like 18000 seats to make it a nice size arena...if i could compare it in anysize id have to say about 15'x15' so pretty damn big. i have since updated the pavelego...i have six rotor blades instead of four...heres some pictures of the update:

It's not for me (yeah, believe it) it's for my nephews.

Avus has just asked my next question. Did you draw up a plan or did you do it off the top of your head. I build lego spacecraft for my boys Star Wars minifigs but just do it all off the top of my head. Every build is different. I'm sure Lego would love to see the plans for this. How about building it in a cammo scheme!!!

BTW, how long do you think it'll take to build the Hockey Arena and how many bricks?

while no i didnt make any plans for this copter...i do plan on taking it piece by piece to see what i did to construct it and write it down so other people can do it...on the area side...basically what im going to do is build modules of each thing...like im going to build the ticket booths, stairs , concessions and sections of the seats before i try to build the exterior... but first and foremost im building the rink...If i had all the pieces id say it would take 5-10 months especially since it doesnt have to be glued. Also id guage the amount of pieces would be astronomical...at least 100000-500000 another 10000-18000 for people and the teams and then some 20000 for anything outside of the arena like landscaping and such
