Well, I have always found Cobras directions to be straightforward.  You get the photo, the drawing, the text and notes on how far back you should actually cut the kit part away to make it fit.  Ive used quite a few of the CC resin conversions, and to me they are very straightforward. I as well need EXPLICIT directions, literally step by step, but I find thiers to be among the best out there.

Now, some of the crap you get off of Ebay has a poorly xerographed sheet that is so covered in pock marks that it is illegible.

Oh, and Heavyarty, Thanks for the plug to my Jayhawk Pics on ARC. They also appear on my site http://www.angelfire.com/ca4/hlmp with a lot more helo walkarounds.

Well, I tend to agree that some aftermarket manufacturers should put some more effort with their product instructions but I had no trouble using Cobra's stuff. I found out their MH-60 Lima conversion to be quite straight forward... then again, at the time the set came out I wanted a Lima so bad I was almost decided to scratch build the parts needed, so it might have something to do with knowing the subject forehand. As HeavyArty said, with any conversion good references are a must, next time you might wanna consider hollering around here for references.

I don't know how "ethic" this would be, but maybe you can download Fireball's 1/72 instructions and use it as a guide.

Hope this helps, and let Us know how that Jayhawk is comming.

Can't help out with the directions, and don't take this the wrong way, but...The assumption is that if you are buying the kit, you have a knowledge of the helo and are an advanced modeler.  Resin kits are not for those who are just starting out and have had no prior experience with them or the helo.  I haven't really had a problem w/Cobra Company's directions.  I love their stuff.  They are not all inclusive, but I have done research on the model I am depicting and pretty much know how it should go.  The best advice I can give you is to do some research on HH-60J Jayhawks to see where everything is on the helo.  That should make it much easier.

i have done alot of research on the jay but there is no interior pics that i have found i'm talking 1500 pics, and i'm not the beginer althuogh i don't normally do helos i'm primallaly fixed wing but i do love the helos, and this is the second of my helo models since being back in the field for four yrs now and althuogh i don't consider myself an expert builder i have had a lot of people tell me that my stuff is of top quality, meaning model builders,so i do love what cobra makes i'm just having some trouble with teir directions, i'm one of those guys that need explicit directions

If the instruction sheet is hard to read due to poor printing quality, i would email the company saying as such along with your mailing adress. It may take a while but you should get a new copy without charge.

i got my blackhawk helo and bought the convertion kit from cobra(to the jayhawk).the kit peices seem to be in excellent shape and have great detail.with that being said, the instructions with the kit are crappy at best i don't were to begin, the pics are actual pics that have been copied probably 2000 times or better  then the written direction are vague at best. i would love to know if anyone has a solution for my problem since i'm not much a helo guy i would greatly appreciate any help
