Chuck, thanks for the info, I was not sure of the color (caption I have says dark desert tan and it is prior to delivery) and I thought it might make an interesting build with a different color. I am building the AH-1T by Italeri in 1/48th scale.

Found a color picture of the closest acft  in the flight in my "Monogram US Navy& Marine Corps Aircraft Color Guide".   The picture is credited to Bell Helicopter but does not list the official color, although it looks like FS 34059  (Marine Green) is what it was painted at the time of the flight/photo. Tail number is 61015 with the full Bu No below, and below that is some stenciling I cannot make out, there is also zero ballance of squadron markings...so think they are fresh off the show room floor.  I tried to attach the photo, but can't figure out how to get it in here.

By the by, what scale are you doing your "t" in?  I've got a King Cobra in the works, and would like to do the twin engine version if I can figure out how to do the engine cowling.

Regards,

Chuck

Came across this photo while checking my reference material for the AH-1T build I am doing. Color is listed as a Dark Desert Tan. Anybody happen to have any info on these a/c (photo on test flight prior to delivery), such has FS number for paint, squadron markings, etc?
