Ever wondered how it would be to fly your Academy, Italeri or other helicopter ?

Have a look ...

Okay, Dan. I gotta know.  Is the rotor actually turning or is it a clear plastic disc?  It appears to me that the rotor is actually turning.  If not I have to know how you did the plastic disc.  I have been trying to do this for a long time with no success.

By the way.  The model looks great.

Hello chopperfan, first of all, in all honesty, I can not take credit for this model.

To answer your question, YES the rotor IS turning, BUT and here it comes, it not the kit rotor, and no trick photography is used in the picture, the helicopter you see is actually flying.

This is the same helicopter when not in flight...

This guy has used the Academy kit in combination with the core components of a Humingbird RC helicopter to build this RC Blackhawk.

I found the picture (amongst others) here

I was gonna say, I hope its not the kit rotors! I got the rotor head on mine all built and ready for paint, I dropped it on carpet, and bam, 2 blades break off! Angry [:(!]Banged Head [banghead]Grumpy [|(]
