Stepping into the dark zone...
Posted by osher on Sunday, December 10, 2006 8:34 PM
I introduced my girlfriend to my LHS yesterday, and asked her to pick me a model to build.  She chose a helicopter, a Revell 1/32 EC135 Air Zermatt.  Yikes, a helicopter!  OK, I'm up for a challenge.  Can anyone offer me advice on this model (changing either it, or the girlfriend, is not an option)?Cool [8D]

Around here, the "Dark Zone" refers to armor.

Try posting some pics of the kit. I am unsure which helo you have bought. Surely the rotorheads on here know, but post pics and ask as you go and you should get more responses. Good luck.

It is supposed to be a pretty good kit.  It has a few issues though.  More info on it here from a prior post.

m60a3, it is this kit he speaks of.

Thanks, HeavyArty. Looks like a fun build.

I saw that Squadron had Eduard masks for sale this month. You might be interested in that, I think they were under a couple of dollars.

Thanks for everything guys!  I'll post pics later (if I can get my camera set up again!)

Checked the Hannants website, and they have it in both Kabuki for £5.60 and vinyl for £2.50.  Phoned the shop, and will get a Kabuki one this weekend.

Isnt that rice paper based tape, similar to Tamiya tape like the masks Tamiya provides for its bike kits?

neat stuff as long as you dont use lacquer thinner based paints on it!!!!!!1
