Academy 1/48 CH-46 model weight?

Because of the 1/48 Ch53 E size I think the best way to do this might be a combo of the hoist idea with a thin brass rod in the back of the display. I saw a 1/72 scale Chinook in a dio in a mid flight by means of the cargo hook slinged to a howitzer.....it looked very cool! When I build my 1/48 CH46 A I want to do a dio directly from one of OldHookers Go Go pics ...If I can and dedicate it to all the brave and 'crazy' men who crewed and flew those infamous Hooks.

Geee, you guys are harsh.  I ask a simple question.  What happened to all that holiday spirit, brotherhood, goodwill and stuff.   Nobody has built one of these?   Nobody has a scale?  How do you all weigh stuff?????

 OK fine, I'll work it out myself.  Here are some probably useless facts. One Academy 1/48 CH-46D model in the box: 1 lb 9.5 oz.   Only the parts, still on the sprues:  11.5 oz.   I wonder what the ratio of sprue to parts is?   I wonder how much a few coats of paint weighs?  I wonder what the airspeed/velocity ratio of an unladen sparrow is? 

 Next question (dare I even ask).  Does anyone know what the diameter is of the pendant used for hoisting external loads during a Vertrep?   Do you think it would be possible to mount CH-46D on a brass/steel/titanium/unobtanium rod so it would appear to be in flight about to hoist a load from a ship's deck, without the pendant looking horribly overscale and without endangering the lives of my children and cats from a falling CH-46?  Has anyone ever tried this?

Ah yes..... xmas time is apon us once again! It may not be a helo subject but I sure would not mind that new 1/72 scale Gato class sub! JEEPERS! The other thing I want is not out yet but Trumpeter is talking about a 1/72 scale Chinook and the best of all........a 1/16 scale M16 Halftrack by Trumpeter with the dual quads 'meat grinders' on the bed.....man what a kit! and I'm not really a big armor guy but I have always dug the WWII halftracks. Merry Christmas all!!!!!

I know the answer to both, but I'm not telling.  Muaahahahahahahahahahaha
