Cutting out the tailrotor gearbox fairing screens were a bear. It's still not beautifull but the Eduards screen fits well and covers up the edges. The two screens just forward of the main gearbox has a bunch of hydr "stuff" behind it, so no problem with some "fiddlies".
Now the intermediate gearbox screens......different story there. My strategy (haven't started this part yet) is to try and use a 1/32 R-2800 "Jug". It's cooling fins come close to the GB, just have to do some reshaping. This area requires a lot of bulkhead building.
The TR gearbox, may be a shaped "Jug" also, just need some mass behind those screens. Now a Judge with a 10 million candle power flashlight might not agree with that assessment.
