difference between flexible and fixed .50 guns??
Posted by richgb on Saturday, December 16, 2006 3:21 AM

Hi fellas,

I'm after some .50 cal door/window guns to mount on -53. Hannants do some from Paragon models, but they offer two types, fixed and flexible. What's the difference? Are fixed remotely/electronically fired ( like those on the side of Huey Hog ) and flexible manually fired ( door guns )? Many thanks and excuse my ignorance.

Fixed to me means the weapons can only be fired in the direction it is mounted at(such as straight forward) whereas flexible means the weapon can be fired at any direction the mount is designed to be moved to(left to right, up and down, etc.)
