I think I might have answered my own thread here. Not so long back my wife dislocated the end of her index finger and was given a Mallet splint to recitfy the problem and keep the finger in alignment. Well the other day I was at the sink ( doing the washing up again!!!!...apparantly she can't wash up due to her injury!!! yeah right) when she had left one of her splints out on the window sill. I was staring at it when suddenly the old lightbulb popped over my head. Anti-strella exhaust!! It has an open bowl shape at the end of the splint, into which the finger rests. With a little modification I'm sure I'll get it to fit onto the back of an AH-1G.

Just thought I'd let you know. BTW, these come in various sizes, including extra large 1/48 scale.

Cheers,  Rich

Here's the decals you mentioned.

As for the conversion set?  It was in 1/32 for the Revellogram Cobra and is out of production. Boohoo [BH]

I thought that I saw another company actually makes a conversion set for that along with decals for various "G"s.

Thanks for those ideas. I might end up getting an AH-1S, and then I'll have another kit to build.

Hi Arty,

I would never have thought of either of those, especially the pasta.

Plastruct makes architectural shapes.  They have pipe pieces that are pretty small and come in 90 degree angles.  You may find one that works.  Another option may be elbow pasta.  You never know, it may work as well.  Good luck.

Just as the thread says. I'm going to be building some ah-1gs in this scale in the new year and want to build Du Me Mi, but the only pics I've seen of this A/C are with the Anti-Strella on it. Any ideas appreciated.

Cheers,   Rich
