I remember seeing a 1/32 scale Vacuform Chinook at the Hobbit, years ago, and more recently in an e-bay ad, but the profile of the fuselage is messed up in the area from just behind the overhead transparencies down to the tops of the windshields, also the forward pylon shape and general position.
I gleamed this from a Yahoo Groups message board during a search:
Boeing Vertol CH-47: from Combat Models (32-056) - I have this kit and it is
of poor quality / almost no surface detail and unusable windscreen. Will be
hard to build...(but BIG!)
I dismissed this alternative kit after seeing these discrepancy's.... can't locate a picture however...
I built a 1/72 Vacu C-7A Caribou one time, and it was extensive, to say the least!
Also.... I got word today from "DRAGON MODELS" concerning the Panda Chinook series:
Dear Mr. White,
Thank you very much for contacting us. We have yet to hear from Panda when this kit will be available. My best advice would be to keep checking our website at www.dragonmodelsusa.com for all of the latest information on the Panda line.
Quite honestly we do not know if it will be available in the next month or even in the next 6 months. It has been announced in their catalogue but we haven#8217;t received any more precise information.
I will update Susan at VLS directly as soon as we get any better information as well.
Thanks again for your interest and please don#8217;t hesitate to contact us again if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Liam Cusack
