Your welcome!  I've been watching the forum for a long time, but this was the first time I had an inside line on something.  Good luck with the pintle mount.  Please post pics when you get it finished.  Ray

You can get two M60D's from the 1/72 Italeri UH-60A Desert Hawk kit (kit no. 025).  They are two piece with the requisite spade grips.  However, I notice that italeri continuing its long tradition of not getting things quite right has included the forearms on them.  However, they are probably the most readily available 1/72 M60D's around.  Hope this helps.

I think you may be out of luck.  I don't know of any 1/72 AM doorguns.  Neither the above PE guns nor the Dragon M60s in their HMMWV kits are M60D models, they are standard M60s.  The D model has no forward stock on the barrel, a ring sight on top, and a dual hand grip in place of the buttstock.

The M23 Doorgun mount is actually pretty easy to make with some plastic rod or tubing and some sheet styrene.  Here is an explodede view to help out.

Here is a site that gives more info on the M23 mount and other UH-1 armament systems.

Man, Curtis!!  You're looking for the impossible.  This is all I found through Google.  They are PE and I think they might look kinda hokie.  But, that's just my opinion.

The only other alternative would be to find an old 1/72 scale M48 or M60 and rob the gun from it.  But then, you'd have a nekked tank!!!

There may be a kit out there somewhere but, I sure didn't find it.  Good luck.
