it's been a bad 10 days for sure.........I have an email which indicates the latest was active duty unit.........also I copied this from an msnbc.com article....as of today;

"Since May 2003, the U.S. military has lost 54 helicopters in Iraq, about half of them to hostile fire, according to figures compiled by the Brookings Institution."

Second AH-64 in a week is down in Baghdad.  Not sure the fate of the crew.  Iraqi Police reported that it was being engaged by insurgents, but US Army has not confirmed what brought it down.  Apparently the Army has sealed off the area it went down.  No word on the crew.

Thoughts and prayers with the guys flying it... godspeed.

EDIT:  Crew didn't make it.

from the looks of it, the last blackhawk that went down took out a brigade staff, or a large part of it.......eek.

I know that it is not a brigade staff.  I believe that the pax were some folks were over from the States on an inspection tour.
