Hey Rich,

For the green I used a combination of MM/field green mixed with just a bit of Italian olive green...the orange is Hobby Color (don't know where I got that...probably Wal-Mart) but I would have used the Humbrol orange (18) if I had not been almost out.

I meant to ask before, what colours did you use? Marine green and..... some sort of orangey/red. Is that signal red?

Beautiful conversion. You have given me an idea about both my 1/72 and 1/48 scale (if I can either find or make the missing parts) H-34. Very nice paint job indeed.

Nice! I liked that scheme too. Mine came from the CH-34 Book Front cover. I used Maintracks "damp" dry transfers for much of it. your right it was a lot of fun. Keep up the good work.

Rich...As far as I could get information, it seems that the external difference was very little. I got the numbers from some CAM decals (www.camdecals.com) and the lettering from Super Scale International. (72-20). Thanks for compliment.

Excellent build of one of my favourite "families" of helicopters (-34's and Wessex). Is there much difference externally apart from the obvious striking paint scheme and markings. Incidently how did you create those numbers and lettering, was it some kind of stencil?

Anyway , great job and very effective base. Thanks for posting the pics.

Went to San Diego to visit sister and went aboard the USS Midway which is now a museam. Lots of good stuff to see and I got plenty of pics. My brother-in-law saw the H-34 Seabat anti-sub chopper and said he would really like a model of that one. OH BOY! Of course I just had to do that. I found the Italeri 1/72 UH-34J Sea Horse and swapped it over to the Navy Seabat. Here are some pics:
