Monogram/Revell 1/48 UH-1C Huey Hog gunship is a nice, easy first build.  It is not accurate in its markings and weapons layout though.  Still a good intro to helos.

The H-34 it will have to be, as I have the Squad/Sig book on it.

Nice to see there's a PE for it, too.

Monogram AH1S Cobra.

Get one of the older kits (without the clamshell style box from the early 90s) because the clear parts mold seems to have worn out and the clear parts on the last releases didnt fit as well.

Great kit, sweet build, and if you take your time and sand off the pins, you will only need filler at the tip of the nose and right behind the aft crosstube.  Leave the rotor totally removable by not pinning the mast with the clip.

Check out my blow by blow photo tutorial on how to build it at :

I love this kit! Pretty darned accurate and I have a slug of them that I got cheap off of Ebay.

Enjoy
