Gino,

I say go with the XM-18 pod on the left inboard station.  Makes things much more interesting.  If you need an extra pod, I've got a couple and may be up in your neck of the woods next weekend.

Thanks guys.  I guess the two options are either dual 7-shot M-158s or one 7-shot M-158 and one 19-shot M-200 on the right side.  Decisions, decisions....

All my references show two 7-shot rocket pods on the starboard side Gino when the M35 is attached.

Andy:

I went to TM55-1520-236-10 and it does not show the M35 configuration. This doesn't mean anything as you would have to find a copy of the original G model dash 10. I know the port side 20mm was used but how extensively I don't know. The color orange on components is used when items are used for experimental flight. You might try the AMCOM  at that time it was AAVSCOM website as they would have been the governing agency.

Gino

Im hunting through my pics at the moment, the only thing i have so far is some video footage of vietnam with an AH-1G in flight with the M-35 on the port side and 2 Orange pods?! on the starboard.

Andy

While the rest of the crew may be in the same predicament, it's almost always the pilot's job to arrive at the crash site first.

I would say most of the cav birds I've seen in this configuration had 7 shot rocket pods everywhere else......but this link shows one with a 19 shot pod balancing the 20mm

AH-1G "Gladiator" question

I have been gathering info for a build of this 16th CAV helo in Vietnam.  All I have found are a couple pics of the port side.  I know it was armed with the M-35 20mm cannon on the port side.  My question is:

What was the standard weapons layout for the starboard side when the M-35 is on the port side?
