Great job there!!  Now you've done it.  I'm all fired up to go take on my MH-53 conversion.  What did you use for the tubes to handle the expended shell casings?

Unable to get more pics taken last night due to minor camera problem.......batteries died......but stayed tuned as I will take care of that problem tonight !!       Pretty amazing that one can spend alot of hours putting together something complicated like this helicopter, but can't take 2 minutes to make sure I have fresh batteries in the camera to take the pics.

OOh my goodness...this is a masterpiece. Incredible detail work. I am a modelmaker by profession, and some years back built some engine suppressors for this bird. I was going to incorporate some some scratchbuilt ones in scale if a 47 ever came out in 1/35 scale. Do you have detailed photos of the interior and cabin that I could have copies of, or other reference documents of some sort that would be relevent to pursuing this?

Regards, Dan

P.S. I also have built I.R. suppressors for the OH58 and AH-64..testing on the Apache now at AATD.

Congrats on the first place.

The Special Ops detail looks nice. Keep it up.

More Pictures of Trumpeter CH-47D modeled to a MH-47D

I waited like everyone else for the Trumpeter CH-47D to come out and when I finally got one I wanted to add some much needed detail to it. Being a fan of Spec Ops aircraft I decided on making it into a MH-47D.  I figured this would be easier than trying to make the MH-47E version.  Before anybody says anything.....I know that Trumpeter did not do the best in making everything as accurate as possible when it comes to the pylons, canopy, etc... , but I enjoyed doing it, and besides...I just won first place for it at an IPMS contest.  The pictures I do have of the construction are not the best and I lost most of them when our hard drive got fried, and the two finished pics are from the show. I will try to take some more pics and post them soon.
