I'm not familiar with this bird.....

Is it a French Helo....and did the U.S. ever use this Chopper?

Dang!...... that Heller 1/35 kit looks good to me!

Lots of work done on my 1/24 Huey....pics tonight!....I think?

Thanks!

Hey Troy,
To add a little more to Don's info ... the Super Hornet has been in service of the French Navy, Italy and Israel to name a few. You can find some great recent photos of this aircraft at www.airliners.net. I've got two copies of the Heller kit .. one with the Exocet missiles and one without. The detail is incredible but I have not started construction on either yet .. from what I hear .. getting the fuselage together is a bear. By the way ... the job you're doing on the Huey is INCREDIBLE!!!!!! I can hear those igniters firing already. Keep us posted.
Paul
PS .. if you get one of these kits, let me know and I will email you a copy of a work bench review of this kit that I've saved from many years ago. I can't even remember if it was in FSM but I've got it if you need it.

Thanks for the kind words there Picket!Big Smile [:D]

Yes! I would like to see that write up on the Super Hornet.

Tonight I finished the flight crew's seat belts and! they even hook to the cabin floor. I had a photo etch AUTO seat belt kit that helped out a whole bunch there!

All the plexi has been pre formed and ready to go into place where the window frames have already been thinned to look more like real sheet metal thickness....the two stabelizers are in place....the rest should be pretty easy.....I still need to scratch build the CARGO hook and its details. The kit does not even have the 'hell hole' cut out...let alone the cargo hook....oh yeah the wiper motors...I gotta do that but thats easy being that they were mostly covered with that padding anyways.

I'll keep ya posted.....If I wasn't so busy this weekend I would almost be done by Sunday!Sad [:(]

Jollys were H3E's or F's
(E no radar, F had radar)
Super Jollys are H53's

many many years ago there was a kit of the frelon in 1/72nd branded 'Cadet'.
These were on sale in the UK and all featured French aircraft. I think they were actually from Heller, or maybe what became Heller.
There is a film around called The Beast. It's about a Russian tank crew in Afghanistan. Near the end there are some good shots of a Frelon, or maybe a super frelon, I'm not sure which. The credits list the help of the Israeli forces, so it must be one of theirs. It's a big ugly looking thing, that's for sure!

The Frelon was also built and operated by Israel and China as the Z8 so there is a good chance that Trumpeter or panda will knock one out soon.
