'Nam huey squadron help
Posted by curtis remington on Monday, May 21, 2007 5:56 PM
With the upcoming release of dragons uh-1d I'm trying to track down what the markings are for a particular squadron but have not had any luck. The squadron is the Kingsmen from I corps in Vietnam who for the most part were the life line of LRP/LRRP's in the field. so does anybody know what markings their hueys had or if they also used the c varient?
Any thing can be fixed with enough gun tape and para cord

Just a note Curtis, the only "squadron" in the US Army are Cav Squadrons, all others are company, battalion, batteries(ARA only)

theres a bit about the kingsmen on that site...

you could read Wings of the Eagle, a kingsmen story by W.T grant....for motivation....Grant had transfered from the black cats to the kingsmen after they had become Bravo/ 101st

their motto was opera non verba??  actions not words or deeds not words......they had a double diamond on the tail boom...and top of the tail plane thingy..either side

 C R ,

Try the rotorwash.net site again. It was down for a bit, but is back in action. It has tons of photos and history of the 17AHC Kingsmen/Lancers.

Hey Snake Driver ...  I like your nick.  It's the title of a book I wrote ... Google it.
