Find out what Unit your boss was in and do a search.  A lot of Aviation Units have Web sites with good info.  You might get "lucky".  He should have a few pictures you could use, unless this is a surprise.  If you are using the MRC/Academy kit there are a few things that you need to correct.  I am planning a couple posts to point out the details needed on UH-1C and UH-1D/H Main Rotor heads to make them accurate since there seems to be a lot interest in Hueys lately.

Which kit do you have?  If it is the 1/32 Revell UH-1D gunship, you won't find any pics of them.  The US Army didn't use D models in the gunship configuration.  A, B, and C models were the primary UH-1 gunships till the AH-1G Cobra gunship came on line in '67.  Check out the above Huey posts to see lots more info on them.

The first topic in the FSM helicopter forum provides a plethora of information on the Huey in Vietnam: /forums/744659/ShowPost.aspx

Good luck, there are plenty of guys here to help.
