Thank you sir,

The only thing that did not fit is the braker box next to the Crew door, I had to cut off about a 1/8in and that was it!!!

Yeah, folks do figure that one out rather easily....since that was all you have to do, I didn't make a new one.

That's coming along quite nicely.  Keep the updates coming!

A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

That does sound pretty odd to me SSgt.  It only took a few days for them and I to arrange the deal and for them to make a template that I could evaluate.  Once I contacted them, they got back to me imediately.  If they aren't getting back to you, maybe they're on vacation or have quit supplying that service.  I have no idea what the problem could be.

Unfortunately, I don't.

The best I could find in my picture stash was this old one I'm sure you've seen about a million times.

Just ignore the color of the outer casing.  Isn't this pretty much the same set up used on Phrogs?  Generally, I remember the color of the buckets being the same light grey as the fuselage.  Also, I remember painting some buckets for our ordinance guys.  We just used the same 2 part epoxy primer we used whenever we had to touch up any grey portions of the fuselage or engine cowlings.

My photobucket page has some CH-53E reference pics which you may find helpful.

Great work SSgt,

I especially love the NGB oil streaking down from the cowlings.

Thanks, I'm going to take it over to the line and take some pics next to the 1:1's. The MAG CO told me it is the best looking $hitter on base. LOL  But he is a Phrog guy, and he was like it is the wrong MAG..........WTF....You are making use look bad!!!!!!!!!LOL

Ridleusmc- That's a cool pic but I seen one taken of a 53 during the first Gulf war which shows a reclining nude girl along the entire side of the aircraft in shades of green. At first glance it looks like a typical camo green CH-53 but then you can see through the camoflage, it was a heck of a paint shop! Wish the WO who took the pic's posted them for all to see.
