Question about M60 mount for Huey
Posted by sawdeanz on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 12:49 PM
I'm building the Panda 1/35 scale huey and I bought the cobra company m60 detail set. I'm having trouble determining the exact location that the mount should be glued to the helicopter. Does anyone have references to show where i should attach it? Thanks

Here are a couple of links that should help.  If you want to Google further, the designation of the actual mount is M23.

The M23 mount should be just forward of the rear cargo door frame.  It is centered on the short, gunner's seat where the interior wall comes out into the cabin.

You can kind of see it in the below pic.

It goes in the same place as the mount for the spotlight below as well.

I hope that helps.

Gino,

Any more pics or info on that cammo huey in that first picture? What colours are they? Brown and sand? What's the unit marking on the door?

Thanks,

Rich

No, sorry.  I just came across it looking for a descent pic of one with an M23 mount, which it isn't really that good now that I look at it closer.  No further info on it.

You are probably beyond this point by now but, I found this on one of the "other" forums.

Not all Hueys but, interesting none-the-less.
