Thanks guys. That's very helpful. There won't be much to see as doors etc will be firmly shut - but I'll know and that's the important thing.

Great site - paid off first time.

I am going to model the aircraft with doors etc closed but I would like to make sure that the interior (which is somewhat sparse) is at least the right colour.

Does anyone have any information on the colour(s) of the CH-46D interior?

 Thanks

This is a Marine E.......

Almost every one I have been in,(that is alot!!!) had red seats, and light grey interiors.  They were also heavily stained with red hydraulic fluid, as they were used quite heavily.  We almost went down over yuma during training because of a darn hydro leak.  Low level, and scarred as all get out!!!  All of us got sprayyed that day.  Got afew burns too.

CH-46D Interior circa 1977-1978

Hope this helps.

Interior is dark gray, troop seats are the same color as in CH-47s, constructed of the same red nylon material but without the seat backs.

i will use red simply for visual contrast on mine.  On something nice and open like my blackhawk, greyis OK, I just dont want it to turn into a mass of grey in there that won't get noticed.

The troop seats of the one I once took a ride in were red.

The cockpit is flat (satin) black for NVG compatibility.  The rear cabin is various shades of medium grey.  Rear troop seats are usually red nylon.  Hope that helps.

I have acquired a Hobby Boss CH-46D. My first effort with Hobby Boss.

I am going to model the aircraft with doors etc closed but I would like to make sure that the interior (which is somewhat sparse) is at least the right colour.

Does anyone have any information on the colour(s) of the CH-46D interior?

 Thanks
