(REQ) USMC UH-1N help
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, August 11, 2007 8:51 PM

Hi all

Im new new to this form and i was wondering if anyone could help me out with interior pics of the UH-1N huey, i am mainly after shots of the internal fuel blader and how it is mounted (also suggestions on how to model it)

I am using the Panda gunship in 1/35 and i am getting the C/C upgrades for the kit

My plan is to have the helo landing on a highway in Iraq with some jarheads waitng to evac a wounded buddy so any pics of they huey in iraq with all the gear inside would also be great

 Thanks alot

Here are a few walk-arounds from ARC.

UH-1N #1

UH-1N #2

UH-1N #3

The first one has one shot (below) of the internet aux tank.

#3 has a shot of the connections for it.

Hope that helps.

Hi Gino,  thanks for the super quick reply.

I have seen those walkarounds on ARC and the ones on primeportal. Also would the photo-etch from DML new(old) huey work on a modern november model?

The new DML PE should just about all work for an N model as well.  The rotor system in the D/H kit is actually a Bell 212 system as used on the N anyways, so all those PE parts will work great.  The interior is basically the same as well.

Here is the pic that shows how to correct the blades for a D/H model.

The middle blade is the kit 212 blade.  The top has been modified.  The bottom shows in red the areas to be removed to backdate the 212 blade to a 205 (UH-1 D/H) blade.

I have heard that DML may be re-releasing the N with PE and other upgrades as well.

Good luck.

These are from the early 90's, but show the fuel bladder.

Also another question, my reference images show in all most all cases the N's dont have any sound proofing in them at all and that all the interior panel are black? is this accurate?

Well it woulldnt surprise me at all if DML (re)release the N model with all the new goodies as well as their "modern marines" set.

Supercobra those pics are spot on the money mate!  you wouldnt have any pics of the huey playing in the sand box would you pal?

Darryl,

Yes sound proffing is mostly removed.  I'm looking for my other pictures.  I'm missing a hard drive.  I can help you out a lot if I can find it.
