H-21 kits available?
Posted by RadMax8 on Thursday, August 16, 2007 10:52 AM
Hey guys, I was wondering if you may be able to help me. My grandpa knows a guy who flew H-21s in Nam, and has asked me if I can find a kit of it. So, what are some kits available, and what kind of quality am I looking at? Thanks a lot!

In 1/48 scale FM from France makes a kit of this aircraft. Another kit in 1/48 is due out soon from MPM of Czech Republic. The FM kit is a few years old and a multi media affair. It is also a bit on the pricey side if you can find it.

Hi,

Both Italeri and Revell produce decent kits in 1/72 and there is a PE set for them if you want to detail it. The Italeri kit has decals for two French a/c and a US Rescue a/c in silver and red. I think the revell kits have decals for German a/c not sure if any US decals are included as I don't have that one. Hope this helps.

I would say stay away from the HobbyCraft kit.  It leaves much to be desired.
