Ricardo, I built the Revell Seaking, though it was the Royal Navy version.
There seems to be a fit problem with the transparency at the lower front, and it could use a bit of extra detail. but the end result looked good to me, & the guy I built it for,
so there's two happy people from one kit!

I know Airfix used to do an SH3 with Apollo capsule but I think that the only kit available from them is their Westland seaking with raised rivets.
I think Fujimi's SH3 had engraved lines but is a very rare kit.
Be prepared for a lot of sanding / engraving !
The westland king is very different from the sikorsky aircraft so good reference material is a must, keep in in mind that despite the number of seaking users worldwide, most of the exported models were built by Westland , also built by Agusta
and Mitsubishi ( one of the Fujimi kits )
Ebay to the rescue?

try www.kingkit.co.uk
do a wordsearch for fujimi , they have your E2A, Seasprite, A6, F14's and their westland sea king and ch46/kv107's have engraved panel lines (no duty because the UK is in the EU - for the time being anyway!)

I agree, the Revell kit is better than the Fujimi kits, but the Revell kit is very difficult to do USN version, Revell molded the transmission housing hump on the Port side into the body, and pontoons are all wrong for USN versions. Some foresight on the toolmakers part would have made this an optional part and Revell would have had a real big hit with this kit, It is for the same reason but in reverse that the Fujimi kit makes only good USN, JSDF, and real early Wessex built units..
Now I used the Fujimi body and many Revell parts such as rotors landing gear and cockpit parts etc..Made a nice USN version..

I am half way through the Japanese version of the Seaking from Fujimi.. A very basic kit indeed, and has needed a little bit of work.. Once finished it will make a great piece!

The Fujimi kits are kinda rare, but I have about 2 of them sitting around.. I know one of them is a US Navy version..

I have two halfbuilt and 3 or 4 Fujimi sea kings sitting in boxes athome, and 5 revell sea kings pluss a score of the Airfix ones.

Revell is good, so is the Fujimi one, Revell's is the westland version with Short sposons. It has VERY fine surface detail, but raised rivets that need sanding off, as does Fujimi and Airfix...

The revell has the newer Composite blades and possibilities of new and old radars, sea skua missiles, but only german decals GRRR!), 5 and 6 bladed tail rotors and strake kit. It has all the windows and "lumps and bumps" for all westland built machines, as well as the SAR Cabin interior. and the revell cockpit is EXCELLENT, get that? EXCELLENT!! Seats are a bit wanting, but otherwise correct style collectives and cyclics as well as pedals, good decals for the panel, or relief if you so choose, so I'd say with a few minor glitches it is an awsome kit. If I had access to my USN boxes, I'd send ya the sponsons outa those, but then again...

Hope that helps!

(Death: if you're up and running, I have not forgotten you, but have been incredible busy these last two weeks... Will get stuff sorted on Saturday!)Big Smile [:D]
