Was there any UH-1N Huey's in Desert Camouflage ???

I was wondering if ther were any UH-1N Huey's painted in Desert Camouflage , like the AH-1 Cobra's and OV-10D Bronco's that were in the first Gulf War. I've built both the Cobra and Bronco with sand/tan scheme , also the UH-60A Desert Hawk with the overall sand paint scheme . So I was just curious about the Huey ?  Kind Regards Helo 53

Some were overall sand, a few others were sand/brown. Still others retained their gray paint. It depended on the squadron. Hope these pics provide some guidance. As per the usual with great skid shots, the photo credits go to Supercobra..... I just do a lot of "right-click, save" when he posts Thumbs Up [tup]

Thank's Andy , those pic's are exactly what I needed . I recently purchased a few Helicopter kits from Squadron.com and one of them was a UH-1N by a company called Aeroplast . The kit isn't very accurate as it lacks a lot of interior detail that you get with Italeri's version . In fact I really only bought the kit just for the decals . The decal sheet has 3 options , NAS Lemoore "rescue" , USS Belleau 1985 and a desert storm version with the number 201 on the front doors. Which is similar to one of the pic's you posted. the paint instructions call for Humbrol H-93 Desert Yellow {gunze H-79} . I wasn't really sure as to the accuracy of their color scheme . I guess I'll build the kit after all and just keep the cabin doors closed . Also the main rotor blades are woefully inaccurate, fortunatly I have a spare rotor from an old UH-1H Huey I scrapped some time ago. Without that option I wouldn't have bothered building the kit at all!!! Kind Regards Helo 53
