Special Hobby CH-37

Well, maybe this kit is going to happen, Hannent's has it listed as a future release, and I've seen it listed as a September release, but I have been looking and I haven't seen any reports on test shots.  I have found this picture of the master on a Czech website.  Here's hoping.  The fuselage shape does look promising, certainly a monstrous improvement of the Airmodel vac.

Keeps us posted if you find out more.  Who's built a Special Hobby kit?  How are they?

I just read this post on a Yahoo group.

"Special Hobby: Part of the MPM group. "Generally" speaking: Limited run kits with very nice surface detailing, excellent resin parts, some photo etch, nice decals and sometimes vacuform canopies. Sprue attachment points are sometimes heavy, and many times there are no locating pins (both no big deal). Accuracy is sometimes suspect, but nothing major. Sometimes fit is not perfect and trailing edges are not thin enough. Note how many times I use "sometimes".....

Overall, Special Hobby produce very nice kits that take a little more modeling than say, Hasegawa. I'd recommend them."

Here is a link to a review of their 1/32 P-39. I know it's not the the Mojave but, it will give you an idea of the quality.

With limited run you never know until you get the kit in your hands.  I've built two MPM kits, the 1/48 P-63 and the 1/72 XP-47H, the P-63 took some work but is a nice model, the XP-47H was not as accurate as I would have liked.  I did just get the Special Hobby P-36 and it looks very nice in the box.  So I am hoping for the best but will expect to put some effort into a CH-37.
