H-34 Detail Set in 1/48
Posted by ipmsfl on Sunday, September 16, 2007 5:49 PM
Has anyone seen one of these around lately?  I can't seem to find one and I've been searching eBay regularly.  At my advanced age, I should know enough to buy the detail sets when I buy the kit!!  Eight Ball [8]

I can't recall ever seeing a 1/48 H-34 detail set.  I've had the kit for some years and have been sort of keeping my eyes open for that kind of thing.

I think Cutting Edge made it.  I've got one somewhere but I'm keeping it.

Picture of one here:

Cobra Company did a set of masters for Cutting Edge several years ago. The set has been out of production for a few years now. Cutting Edge does not seem to have any plans of reissuing it however Cobra Company has made some indication that they may do a new set of masters to be released under their nametag. How long will this take? I have no idea. I know I have two H-34 kits waiting for these sets along with a couple Wessex kits that would use the exact same interior set. Wish I could give you some better hope for your kit but right now your only chance is to find someone who has the set and is willing to part with it or start scratch building.

Let me do some checking. I can't and won't guarantee anything but, I just found something that I have been looking for and I will check with that person. Keep your fingers crossed.

I made the call and the reply wasn't good. They didn't have what you are looking for.

I tried.

Well since the 1/48 H34 has been re-released (Hobbyboss?) at least there is a good chance someone will also redo a detail set. At least the odds are better than if it was still just an old OOP kit.

Where did you get this tidbit? I cannot find any info on a 1/48 H-34 reissue anywhere.

Yeah, I'd very much like to get a H-34 in 1/48!

My mistake, its 1/72, I could have sworn it was 1/48.
