Now for something completly different...this chopper certainly meets that theme. This helicopter was developed after a good deal of testing with the aircraft being tethered to a tie down bay. It soon won the interest of the Army and Navy and used for cargo, rescue services and even for anti-submarine missions with 500 kg bombs or depth charges. After the war the Fa 233 was brought to France and then to Great Britain. In 1945 it became the first helicopter crossing of the English Channel. This model is a 1/72 from HUMA Modell made in Germany.
Post war production: 2 Fa 233 completed in Czechoslovakia and production of an improved variant in France and designated SE 300.
I built OOB except for some of the pieces of the steel outriggers which I thought were too thick. I replaced them with some E-Z line that looked much better. Other than making me almost blind it was an enjoyable build.
