Never mind, I found 'em at Cobra Company.

Thanks. Got right from their website.

I'd really like to do a 1/48 version of this 53 so I could do a display with a 1/48 Special Hobby R-4  I'm working on and the 53. It'd be a nice 'Then-and-now' comparison.

Are there any mod kits for the Academy 1/48 CH-53 kit?

I came up with this site that has a description and some good pics of the MH-53J and M.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/h-53-pics.htm

The M model must be very new, there's not a whole lot around for it.  The CH-53K will be flying in about 8 years.

Changes appear to depend on the airframe age, modification level and configuration at time of M update. Granted, most M upgrades are electronic in nature but relocation of sensor antennas, supports and support bracing (or elimination) and in cases installation of totally different sensor and ASE equipment can occur. Without reference to a specific airframe there isn't much way to say if you are right or wrong in what you wish to do. Some of the most noticable and common changes were to the location of CMWS sensors and relocation or change of IRCM units.

Significant differences between MH-53 J and M models?

I picked up the 1/72 Revell Germany MH-53J "Pave Low III" kit ($10.00 I thought that was pretty good!) and was curious to know if there are any outward differences between a J and M model. I know 'M' models are upgraded 'J's but are the changes only in the electronics?

I plan on doing an in-flight display so interior changes aren't a big concern for me but I wanted to know about any new antennae bumps or plades. I haven't been able to see any differences in the web images I've collected.
