Great stuff.  Glad to see they are carrying the name well.

That is awesome, Frank.  Its great to see such a historical namesake back in the battle again. I've had the pleasure of flying and serving with some of these guys, and you couldnt ask for a more dedicated and honorable group of men to carry the "Guns-a-go-go" name into the future.  I can only imagine the pride you must feel.  Hooah!!

Frank,

I saw the new Guns-A-Go-Go patch recently at Rucker, and I'm happy to see them back in action.  Thanks for the update.

Frank,

Great pictures, and some great info.  How long is the fuel probe on that thing?  It looks a mile long.  That's a little something extra for the pilots to think about.

What helo deck is that?  Normally I'd be offended, because a helo deck is CH-53 territory.  However, it's such a cool picture that I don't mind.  JK

Be sure to thank and congradulate Guns a Go Go for us.

Semper Fi,

Chris

Ah the MH-47E  my bird. I'm an Avionics/Elecrtical instructor for the MH-47E and the new MH-47G as well.  I also like to mix my love for Sci-fi with work.  I'd kill for an accurate model of one.

Here I am in front of an E

and a few of us clones (I'm in Green) with a DAP Blackhawk

The E and the G Special Ops Chinooks are totaly different animals..all new Avionics, some antennas are different with new locations.  The Airframes look the same, but have major changes.  Without going into details this bird has more ASE equipment, improved Nav and Mission aids along with a brand new avionics package that rocks.  Being an instructor on this aircraft I must say that many of the systems are classified and can not be shown.  Many of those pictures shown in the first post with active duty operators should of never been posted on a public fourm.

Well I dont really need to go into avionics and NAV aids upgraid details.  All I care about is external difference in airframe. But if you can not post any other pic - totaly understand.

  Thanks anyway

I contacted the CO after reading your post and he said "None of the Personnel in the pictures are currently deployed, but yeah, I didn't asked the guys so go ahead and take them down."

So they're down.

Also, concerning modeling; I'd hold off on detailing one of the Go-Go ships.

k?

Hi AlaskaDad and welcome to the forums!

An old "Hillclimber" are you, well, good meeting you, Sir! I'm sure you're familiar with the website; "147thhillclimbers.org"? I'm the founder & Webmaster of it also, and Mr. Rodney Brown is the POC. If you're already on the Roster, great, if not, email me and I will get you set up.

Thanks for showing the new Go-Go patch, and let me hear from you?

Take care,
Frank

Hi gang! Smile [:)]  I thought I would stop by, see whats going on and what kind of damage Frank has magaged to do while I have been away.

Frank, the other day I spoke to a guy up here from Fort Lewis.... he has a buddy who is a Crew Chief with the new Go Go's..I did not get names......but he said his pal was very excited to be in the group...he said they all are.   I couldn't help but ask because he had a Hook patch on his shoulder, turns out he's with a reserve/air rescue at Lewis.

Still have not picked up a copy of the new 1/48 A-hook....but have noticed there are some EDUARD goodies.....has COBRA done anything?

TAMBO....We gotta talk!  I would PM you but ...no option.  Thats why I don't post here often enough cuz I'm always stuck building Sci-Fi.

Thank you for the photo, sir.  That was the one I saw at Rucker.  As I said, nice to have 'em back and welcome to the forum.
