What's the best 1/35 Academy kit to do a RAN Huey. Frog or Hog?

After catching the bug with my Dragon 1/35 Australian Army Huey, I have decided to do a Royal Australian Navy Huey in the RAN markings.. I am able to get Academy kits easily, and so wondered which kit would be easier to convert Frog or Hog?.. Any suggestions..

The Frog and Hog kits are the same.  The only difference is the weapons and decals.  The Frog kit has all the weapons options from all previous Academy/MRC UH-1C kits.  The Hog kit has only one weapons option.

There was a thread here recently on RAN UH-1s and it was a consensus that they were mainly UH-1Bs.  Cobra Company has a set to backdate the Academy kits to a B model.

Chris,

Another option is the Siminar UH-1B in 1/35, but the MRC/Academy kits are better.  By the way, I have never seen any pics of RAN birds armed, certainly not in a Frog or Hog configuration, so it really doesn't matter what weapons you get.  Good Luck!
