Thanks for the photos Ray,

She shouldn't be to hard to model, the tail numbers ill be easy enough to make along with all other markings.

Cant wait to start.

Cheers

Robert,

thanks for the info.  i'm sure you have looked over the Nighthawk, Firefly thread here, but i thought I might offer these pics as inspiration. this is a Nighthawk of the F troop, 8th Cav "Blue Ghosts."  This is one of the few birds for which I have more than a couple of pictures.

As you can see the serial is 68-16450.  She was an H model and there are kill marks on the area between the copilot's door and the cabin.  I think it would be a neat bird to model.  best of luck with whichever Firefly you choose.

No real problems with the fitting of the kit. Only around the pilots doors but they are hinged so if left open it's not real obvious.

I have another kit here built as a Slick and have one in the stash to be built as a Firefly, still in the research process for that one.

For the internal details for the Bushranger i was thinking a few rifles, guns, packs & a custom made decal of a Aussie flag.

Cheers

Robert,

No worries mate.  I saw the woden smoke grenade box (actually many gunners used them as ammo boxes) from the MRC kit and figured the rockets were from there as well.  There really isn't a lot of difference in 1/32 and 1/35 as evidenced by how well the 1/32 minis match the 1/35 rockets.  How was the build, by the way?  Are there any major fit problems with the kit?

    Thanks,

           Ray

Robert,

I know the Revell kit comes with the minis and M157 rocket pods, but none of mine has the M158 rocket pods with the individual tubes.  What boxing of the kit are you using?  Is there a difference in the weapons that you know of?

    Thanks,

            Ray

Hi Gino. Hows Things? Thanks for the kind words!

Ray The weapons are from the actual Revell kit itself 1/32 or 1/35 there is not much difference IMHO. Thanks for your comments.

David. Thats right mate i have always modeled U.S subjects and my wife said a while back " Why not build Aussie Stuff ", beside my uncle played with Bushrangers.

Thanks To Everyone For Looking

THanks for sharing.  It looks like the 1/35th armamant goes fine on the 1/32 airframe.  Are the rockets and minis from the MRC kit?  it's nice to finally see a Bushranger model.  Great work!

Hi Richard

Thanks for the kind words, did you get the C.D on the Huey?

The paint is Model Master Green Drab with a splash of Model Master Faded Olive Drab in it.

And the 60's came from the Dragon U.S Helo Crew kits.

Thanks For Looking Mate

Rob,

That looks great mate, especially that head on shot where you can see the mini's and 60's sticking out from ther sides. You're uncle will love it. I really must start mine. Just a couple of questions.....where did you get the 60's from and what colout OD did you use as it looks just right. All the OD I use tend to use looks too brown but looking at the Aussie helis they look more green.

Cheers mate.

Hi Everyone

Here is my Bushranger it is Revell 1/32 UH-1H.

It is still a WIP with a little more detailing inside the troop cabin to be done, another wash and a few more decals. I have another Revell kit here and hope to get started on a UH-1H Firefly.

All comments welcome!!

Thanks For Looking
