Got four in one lot on ebay a few weeks ago. I believe Pavla's just reissued the kit so there should be a few around the traps..<>

Sunnas

anohter thing to consider, when sanding the piece flat/true after you cut it out, is that clear plastic will show bend marks as whilte streaks if the plastic gets too bent while sanding it. You may want to wet sand slowly. I have learned with Anigrand kits to pay the extra dollar for that spare canopy!

Thanks David.

Experienced with Vacform I am not, so your advice (and any other!) is much appreciated. I had read somewhere that cutting it out and rubbing on a flat sheet of suitable sandpaper is also a way to go about things. Which is better for a beginner?

Fortunately there are two copies of the relevant parts included, which is a very handy piece of insurance for the likes of me!

<>Thanks for the welcome.

Sunnas welcome to the forums.

I dont have the Pavla kit but I have other kits that are similar with vac bubbles and I have always had trouble with them.

If you are experienced with VAC kits or Falcon canopies, ignore everything below.

If you are not used to working with VAC canopies one of the easier ways to seperate them from thier original sheet plastic is with a pair of curved fingernail scissors. Work slow and fit multiple times. YOu may find that you need to shim or reduce the width of the fuselage to match the bubble once it is cut out. You really cannot change the bubble, but you can change the fueselage to match by sanding or shimming.

Use thick white glue (PVA) or Model Master Windowmaker to install it. I wouldnt want to take a chance with supeglue fogging it. Once installed it should be nice and sturdy, even if it feels flimsy when you cut it out.

HTH helps some, welcome to the forums!

G'day all.

New to FSM, first post.

<>Wondering if anyone has built the Pavla Robinson R22? I have just recently picked up a couple of examples, but am away from home for a few months and wont get a chance to stuck into them for a while. Any thoughts/pics/concerns you might be able to share? How easy was the vacform bubble to work with?

Cheers.
