OH-6A interior pics??
Posted by ziggyfoos on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 3:34 PM

Are there any sites that have good interior shots of the OH-6A? I've seen the ARC walkarounds but they dont have any good inside shots and other sites seems to only show the civilian version. I have the old AeroSeries Loach book which does have some good shots of the intrument panel but I can't find much showing the backseats and the center section. Any insights would be appreciated.

 thanks

Try Aircraft Resource Center's site. They have tons of walkarounds of all sorts of aircraft. Or just do an image websearch.

I have 400+ photos I've collected off the internet for an OH-6a build I did a few years ago.  There are a few internal photos amongst them.

Send me an email and we can work out the best way to let you have them.

Here are all the interior pics of the restored Miss Claud IV at Rucker I have.  Hope they help.

I did the Dragon kit many years ago and it had another version of the minigun fairing, more aerodynamic, someone know something about that?

thank you for the pics, I'd like to see few of the figs.

Steve,

 Glad I could help.

Seaking,

You are referring to the M27 system.  Go here for some great pics and info on this and many other helo weapon systems:

http://tri.army.mil/LC/CS/csa/aaarmsys.htm#M27

As you can see it could have the fairing or not.  here is a pic from the Army Aviation Museum archives that shows the same fairing.  Note the bullet catcher being put on the minigun.

fairings........................just get in the way!

But, they do sometimes provide a cooling feature depending on how they are designed, like on a Cessna close-cowled engine.
