Wouldn't it be nice if both EH-101 and NH-90 were available in 1/48?  (I am dreaming in color now).

Google search reveals no one.

Thanks

It's the Italeri kit, they have a couple of EH-101 kits, I got the Canadian Commerant version of it. It is 1/72 in case you thought I meant I had one in 1/48. Tower has them and so does Squadron, Squadron also had the Labrador so I got mine there but Towers price is a bit better.

TMN1, nice pics. The Danish SAR scheme is interesting, I'm used to seeing bright colors with sea grey or blue, doesn't seem as common to see it on OD. That would make an interesting build though.

Itlaeri has one.  See for example  http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBXR4&P=W.  I am sure you can find Italeri model pretty much everywhere, though at $12.27, this seems to be a steal!!!

Revell has one too.  It's model #4410.  I saw one on e-Bay for $32.95.  I previously read good review of the Revell kit.  See eBay Item number: 150154779822

Yes the EH-101 is very big. Im an aircraft mechanic and have worked on F-16's for a number of years now and with 22 meters the EH-101 is almost 7 meters longer than the F-16.

I have taken some pics of the danish EH-101 and there also alot of landscape pictures taken during our first flight.

Well i know Model alliance has already released some 1/48 decals for the Merlin (Canadian and Danish) so i guess it's coming.

Got my first flight in EH-101 yesterday btw, Danish SAR version.

Any chance you took some pics you could share? I've got a Canadian SAR Commerant planned but if I like the kit I could always use more subject ideas.

helonewb, I wouldn't mind seeing more helos in 1/48 but 1/72 is the best for variety (at least for what I like to build). Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Cool!  Thanks for the heads up.  I am looking forward to seeing this model hit the store shelves...  I have built a small collection of 1/48 helos.

All,

I read a while back in FSM that Italeri was to release a 1/48 version of the EH-101.  I think it was to be based on the already existing 1/72 kit.

Have any of you heard anything about it?  I am curious to see when it's scheduled to be released.  I'd love to see a NH-90 in this scale too.  IMHO (I am not trying to steer controversy), 1/48 is the BEST scale for helos!!!
