Aircrane S-58

I've been going through my 1/2 finished builds, and I think I can finally call this one done.

This is a Sikorsky S58 operated by Aircrane Inc in Atlanta, GA.

I used the 1/72 Italeri UH-34J kit with decals I made myself.

Very nice H-34 Aaronw . I like the overall gloss white finish . I'm still struggling to finish my HH-3F Pelican . I got some frisket film to mask the front canopy , which worked really well . However I used tamiya masking tape to mask some of the gloss white fuselage aera's to airbrush the orange/red , which then I was left with masking tape [marks/residue] on the white area's . So I remasked the orange/red to touch-up the white and was left with the same problem on the red/orange section . I have now removed the canopy for a second time ,so I could lightly sand the front fuselage section and have lost some of that nice fine rivet detail . I've decided to airbrush the helo with flat white and then mask for the orange/red and hopfully avoid the tape residue-marks appearing again .

I sure do like that gloss white finish Thumbs Up [tup]  Nice decals too .

Kind regards John

I've started to use a coat of Future before masking, then if there is any residue a fresh coat of Future usually takes care of it.

Thank's for the tip Aaronw , I'll give that a try as well . I also like how you airbrushed the engine intake screens and rotor housing screen flat black . It really does enhance the overall appearence of the H-34 Make a Toast [#toast]

Kind regards John .

Yeah, that's a great model.  It's nice to see one that's not OD, even though I love OD.  Great work.

Chris
