Finished 1/48 UH-1P Huey Gunship

I think the letters are just the military phonetic alphabet, not sure if that is just a US thing or not. I know law enforcement has their own version, Adam, Boy, Charlie, David etc vs Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta etc, so it wouldn't surprise me if other nations also had their own.

Nevermind, wikipedia to the rescue, that is the NATO phoenetic alphabet. Kind of neat entry as they give earlier nation specific alphabets in addition to the current NATO version, also several other varieties.

In WW2 the British would have called your HUEY the pip, in WW1 it would have been a pudding  .

I greatly appreciate all the kind words guy's . My UH-1B [Bravo] and 1D/H [Delta/H......] "what do you call the H version" ; are coming along nicely . I've also started airbrushing the insides of a UH-1C 'Seawolves' fuselage , rear wall ,floor and roof pieces , so I can glue the fuselage halves together . I'm attempting to have three more Huey's finished by the end of the month .

That came out very nice, its hard to believe the exhaust started out as a UH-34 nose.

Very odd variation of the huey, and you are now probably one of the only people around who has a 1/48 version of it.

 Nice job of a neglected Huey Gun Ship.   Thanks for sharing, good pictures!

 I just got back from the 174th AHC Reunion, Sharks, Dolphins, and Witch Doctors.  There were several nice Shark models, MRC 1/35, that Charlie Johnson built he donated for our auction.  He also built a one off black camo UH-1D for Wally Nunn who was gunner on it.  Too bad there wasn't a 1/35 kit of the UH-1P.
