Charlie,

Will do!  Ray and I are gonna try to make a run down there before the end of the year.  I need to get back into the museum archives to do some research for the book I'm working on, plus I'm working with Steve (the museum director) in an effort to get NUH-1B 62-12554 back down to Rucker and re-mated with its XM-26 TOW system.  Hopefully we can get that rolling pretty quickly.

Will keep you in the loop when that all happens!

I doubt it unless we passed each other at the PX or Commissary. I came back from Germany in 95 and worked with TSM Comanche until 97 when I retired. I have been working in the DCD (now CRD) since retiring. But if you ever return to Rucker give me a call so we can finally meet each other in person.

www.azcentral.com, then click on "news," then scroll down about one-third of the way and click on "New Attack Helicopter." Tamiya, how about a kit?

The Hasegawa kit is absolutely top notch.  It needs some updates to be a Block 2 and more to be a 3, but Hasey's pretty much cornered the Apache market!

Charlie,

Did we meet at Rucker in the 06/07 timeframe?  I was going through the Longbow course at the time.  Got my wings exactly one year ago today, in fact!

I thought I was going to see a new PLASTIC model. Boohoo [BH]  The block III is something we at Rucker have been working on for years. There are about 4 increments/builds in the Block III if I remember correctly. Each build will have a few more capabilities incorporated into the assembly line. I and a few of my friends built the operational and system architecture for the Block III Longbow CDD and CPD back in 2004.

Thanks for the info.
