Nice work so far...Von Hammer, I think those neat edges depict where the dio ends on the base, not actual ends of damaged flooring (notice they are in-line with the dio border edges)---I use that technique a lot in my dios...

Thanks for the note. As it is there are still a lot of rough edges which will be refined as I go along. Right now I have not yet decided on the interior finishes as I have still a lot of things to do such as roof trusses and roof, etc.

Dunno if you have it planned or not, but those floorboards and joists upstairs would look a lot better splintered insead of looking like someone used a Sawzall... Another thing, if you feel like it that is, for the interior walls and floors, I use dollhouse wallpaper patterns and various floor tiles that I get off the 'net and print out. There's a quite a number out there in a Google image search...

No, I used compressed foamboard. It is almost similar as styro but denser and comes with a layer of paper as cover on both sides.

Actually this dio is inspired by the movie "Enemy at the Gates".

I am in the process of making my latest diorama about a scene from the eastern front. While I have already completed the figures and vehicles, I am still working on the base. Here are some progress pics.
