I've been working on a France 1940 Diorama featuring both a PzKpfw IB and Panzerbefehlswagen I. Both are are from Italeri, manufactured in the 1970's. The assembly of both tanks is completed with the painting of the Mark I B being a bit further along than the painting of the command tank.
I will post the dio pics when I am done, but in the mean time I would enjoy your comments on what I've done today. The mud is celluclay tinted with water based craft paint with bits and pieces of scale "weeds and grass" added. Once it had started to set-up a bit I went back over the high spots with some darker "fresh mud" to add some depth. It still needs a bit of touch-up here and there but this should give you the idea in which I am headed.
*** My apologies for the poorly linked photos on the initial post - I linked these through photobucket***
The initial application:
Grass/weeds touched up with some green and darker "mud" added:
The whole process has proven tedious and somewhat time-consuming but appears to be yielding fair results. When I have finished I will post more pics.
