Thanks Wacky,
The only other model pic I have posted is in the Auto forum, when I get a digital camera I will post some more pics of other models.

Very nice work mark!! It's hard to see the detail on the zero's because of the distance, but they look fantastic!
I love the trees! As you saw in my post, I was having trouble making a tree for my dio. I was trying to make a smaller bushy tree set in the drier, scrubby parts of Vietnam. I may be tempted to play around with some palm trees though, They look very realistic!
Have you got any other dios or models posted, I'd like to see some more of your work.
You'll be able to check out my first dio of a Tiger once I get time to post the pics.

See ye later, Wacky

Very nice!
An excellent application of a superb kit (well, two examples of the kit!).
And I like the contrast with the little snowy trees next to it in the diorama on the right!

Thanks,
For the palm trees, I used wood rods wrapped in cotton cord and then applied latex caulking for the trunks. The leaves are made from copy paper and copper wire for the stem. I followed an article I found in issue #77 of Tamiya Model Magazine International. The banana plant is made from vellum(drafting paper).

This is my 1/32 scale Zero diorama. One Zero is the real sound action Zero, and the other is the non-motorized one. Both have been detailed in the cockpits and engines.Vegetation is made from household materials.
Later, I hope to make a short video with the Zero firing up.

Enjoy,

Mark
