Ratbat, to get the dunes I have used aluminum foil before and got it to the desired shape, glue it down to the base and coat with white glue which makes it hard. Then coat with sand until you get the look you want.To get the wind blown look Put down thicker lines of white glue and coat with the sand works good around bases of treees and such also.

I'm working on a desert diorama and I need to know the best way to get the sand to stick to the board. I'm also making a sandbag berm and want to have the sand blown up on and around the berm. Any help appreciated!!
