Just finished Schnellboot!

This is the Revell 1/72 scale S-100 Schnelboot. It was a bit tough to do, and took me longer than i thought it would. The base is Celuclay painted in acrylic with floor polish cover. I added a few figs to give it life, its suppose to be heading out of a harbor that just got attacked by air.

Ah the figs, well i confess i screwed up at first and bought Revell's crewmen. They were so bad and made out of soft plastic, that i scratched that idea. So i got some CMK and some Hecker & Gross (sp?), the latter being the best, but a bit $$$. I'm really glad you liked it Manstein, made me feel good today.Smile [:)]

That's really incredible work! Boot looks awesome and the water effect is really stunning. Congrats on a great piece.

I really like this.  I mean, REALLY.  The water effect and the shell impact is superb.

The only critique I have is the arrangement of the figures.  I get a little confused when I look at it.  Here is why:

You have the forward AA gun and one figure in the stern pointed to port, but everyone else is looking and pointing starboard.  And the guy standing to the stern does not see particularly concerned about the big, exploding column of water a few yards away.  It just seems a little disconnected to me.  But hey, that is a really minor point, so take it for what it is worth (which is probably nuthin'!! Big Smile [:D]).

Sweet job, Chris.  Really Sweet!   I hope to be able to see it at McMinville later this year.
