102 and shakes is no good- I agree about the flu possibility. Also with Hans on the title/delayed reaction idea. Hope you recover quick!

WHOA Steve. 102 bites.  Sounds like it may be the flu.  Get better my friend.

Hey guy's thanks for the quick feed back. Unfortunately I'm off to the hospital with a 102 fever and the shakes. Been feeling cruddy all day and it just hit me hard within the last few hours

I'd keep the Supermen/Supergirl title and use the third German for a delayed reaction piece..

Yeah I figured you'd make it look nicer after you cleaned everything up, just makin sure it was something you were aware of! Smile [:)]

I think if you change the title it's going to change the story, you might even chose to spin the base around and present it so your straight on view is looking the girl in the back so you could also see behind the wall and the German.

The Men meet Girl focuses on all the tankers and her- if you changed it to 2/3- you automatically bring the 3rd German out of "hiding" from the viewer and place him as the central story line, so really it's all about what you want to portray.

PO thanks for looking in and I see what your saying about the shoulder. But you have to understand that these guys are still in there mock up stage. Once I figure out the positioning it's on to the putty and sanding. After that I'll have to rescribe the quilt patterns and folds in the uniforms.

Hans I had a feeling you'd get a kick out of thisBig Smile [:D].

I was thinking about the fig behind the wall and to break the line of site some more I'm going to place the wall on a raised embankment, give it that sunken road look. And the idea of him prepping a ‘potato masher' is a good one. I thought about having him trying to light a moltove cocktail. But I like the grenade idea better.

Another thing I plan on doing is seeing how it looks on a round base instead of a oval one.

For a title what do ya think about "Two Out of Three Is Bad". Yes? No?

Might work out as far as the idea of everyone drawn in and focused on the girl and her catch of the day- but yeah I can see what you mean, they do ride up a lot higher

One of the other things I've been thinking about was having a German soldier lying down behind the wall trying to go unnoticed. What do you think?

I think he'd have to be scrunched up pretty tightly against the wall to be out of the tank rider's line of sight..

Nice to see someome else that attacks their figs with a saw and putty...Big Smile [:D] The last pic is about what I go through as well, lol...

Let me also point out the one thing I really like- All the heads on the tank are all looking that one way. I think it really helps with your title/theme- all eyes on her, like her expression too- "Hey guys- Look what I found!"

Nice job so far! Good work modefying the figures- the only issue I'm seeing so far is the guy on the 34's left front fender looks like his right shoulder got dislocated and poped out. I think it's important when frankenstining figures like you've done (very well I might add), to make sure thta if you take an arm that's meant to be in one drastic direction- and glue it to a shoulder that's already molded for an arm positioned in another different direction- to either file down the arm or the shoulder- or a little of both. I think what happened with this figure's arm is 50% of the shoulder blade was modeled on the arm and 100% of the torso's shoulder blade was molded onto the torso- so you wound up with I guy that's got 150% of a shoulder... if any of that made sense. Other than that I really like the dio- and I love to see Russian armor loaded up with figures. Very nice build on the tank btw. As for the Russian behind the wall- love that idea too. I think it definitly changes up the story a bit and adds some depth. Keep it up!

T/34 Dio wip 'Super Men Meet Supergirl'(working title)
Posted by panzerguy on Sunday, February 1, 2009 2:37 PM

Hey guy's just to show that nothing's dieing around here I thought I give you a look at my recent dio project using my Tamiya T/34.

Not everything is set in stone but its pretty close to the final layout. A couple of changes may happen.

There are still a couple of figs that I'm trying to decide on the positioning of the arms. As you can see from the last pic I'm having a hard time deciding.

All the figs have been modified in one way or another using parts from Tristar DML Tamiya and Verlinden.

One of the other things I've been thinking about was having a German soldier lying down behind the wall trying to go unnoticed. What do you think?

Well let me know what you all think I'm always open to suggestions.
