The Brummbar Project

Almost a dead-ringer for the Grizzly I'm doing, lol...  I'll get a pic up of it later..

Nah, the old Tamiya Brummbar and scratchbuilt house... I'd never part with the kind of money those new kits cost, man, lol... I'm kinda rippin' off Shep Paine's dio of the Bear, cuz I wanted a reason for a balcony.   I wanted to do a pair of Italian Front scenes, separate, but with connecting storylines.  In the first dio, the Brummbar is supporting some Heer Infantry against an approaching American unit from the 34th "Red Bull" ID, the second is a Sherman and some US Infantry from the 34th that are just down the same street a few blocks, and around a corner from the Grizzly.  Neither unit is quite aware of the other's presence, yet... The Sherman has just punched through the wall of an Italian china shop, BTW... Since the 34th ID's patch is a red bull's skull, I'm calling that one, "Red Bull in a China Shop"...

Thought I'd uploaded some more, but this's the only one in my account right now... I shoot some more later.. It's way back on the back-burner right now..

I think thast ever since Shep Paine made that dio for Monogram with the Grizzly crashing through a building it has been the iconic image of the Brummbar...

True 'dat...  Don't think I'd ever seen a Brummbar before that dio..

An update on the project, the figs are almost done, and so is the tank.

Well its all done, the buiding turned out ok i think, a best for me anyway. I spent way too much
time on that building compared to the models. There's more pics on my site if you wish

That one's a keeper, pard... Well done... If I had to point out one thing, it'd be that a bit more ground color could be added with pastels to the tracks and the troop's boots, but that's strictly my own preference...

Although they look fairly relaxed right now, I'm imagining that they're about to hear some Detroit motors in the distance soon...

I like the Miniart Buildings, they are a lot of work but IMHO they are worth it.

when i get nice comments from you guys.

Yeah Manstein, that Building did need some TLC, i used putty for the seams, but wasn't
real happy with it, so i added that white stuff - 40min drying time mud - then dabed it with
a wet sponge to get that rough look.

  Lufttiger, an excellent piece of work.

  The only thing I could suggest would be to add some more dust to the Brummbar. This bruin would pick up a lot of the stuff crashing through buildings all day long.

  I've never tried one of the mini art buildings. But in the right hands they sure do build up nice.  

Realy nice dio! the Brummbar looks great!

I agree with panzerguy some dust or maby a bit of rubble like bricks or something on the Brummbar would look cool.
